Delete your data
Last updated: 12 August 2026
You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time, whether you have an account or not, and without having to give a reason.
From the app
- Open RevealChat on your phone.
- Go to Profile, then Privacy.
- Choose Delete my data.
A dialog asks you to confirm, then the deletion runs immediately. It is instant and final: the account, the analyses, any unused credits and your first name all disappear in a single operation, and there is no grace period during which you could change your mind.
The conversations you imported stay on your phone: they were never copied anywhere else, and you erase them by uninstalling the app.
By email
Write to contact@revealchat.fr from the address linked to your account, or quote the identifier shown in Profile, then About. We may ask you to verify yourself before we act, so that nobody else can delete your data.
A request received by email is handled within 24 hours. The GDPR allows one month: we commit to less because deletion is already instant from the app, and a written request should not be slower for the sole reason that it is written.
What gets deleted
- Your account and the identifiers attached to it.
- The analyses that were generated, and their texts.
- The excerpts sent during those analyses.
What is kept, and why
Sales records, ten years. That is the period imposed by article L. 123-22 of the French commercial code, and it does not depend on us. What survives is limited to the amount, the date and the pack purchased: the line is detached from your account at the moment of deletion, it no longer carries any identifier, any email or any first name. It is no longer personal data, it is an accounting entry.
Our host’s technical logs, one day, then automatic deletion. They record calls and error codes, not content.
No backups. Our hosting plan includes no restorable backup: there is therefore no copy of your data left over afterwards, and no purge delay to wait out. What is deleted is gone right away, everywhere.
