Terms and conditions

These terms govern the use of the RevealChat app and of the site revealchat.fr, published by Brian Biendou EI, Sonnerie 10, 8 rue de la Mayenne, 31100 Toulouse, France, SIRET 919 153 189 00015. Using them means accepting these terms.

1. What the service is

RevealChat analyzes a conversation file that you exported from WhatsApp yourself, and produces statistical observations and short written texts from it. The service connects to no WhatsApp account and accesses no conversation on its own.

2. Nature of the results

The results are probabilistic and indicative. They describe observable, dated behaviour found in a text file. They are not a psychological diagnosis, not a personality assessment, and not medical, legal or therapeutic advice, and they must not be the basis of a decision affecting another person.

3. Permitted use

By using RevealChat, you agree to:

• import only conversations you took part in;
• not use the service to monitor, harass, coerce or harm anyone;
• not share results in a way that exposes an identifiable person without their agreement;
• not attempt to bypass technical limits or payments.

Breaking these commitments may lead to immediate suspension of access to the service.

4. Account and access

The service is for people aged 16 and over. That threshold is stated identically in the privacy policy and in both app store listings.

The first 3 insights are available without creating an account. Paid features may require an account, so that a purchase can be tied to a device.

5. Purchases

There is no subscription. RevealChat only sells packs of analyses bought outright: nothing renews, nothing rolls over automatically, and so there is nothing to cancel. No charge can happen without a new purchase from you.

A pack entitles you to a fixed number of full analyses. Three packs are offered, of one, three and five analyses. Purchased analyses do not expire: they stay available for as long as your account exists.

One analysis covers one conversation over one given period. Re-reading it as many times as you like, including from your history, costs nothing. Analyzing the same conversation over a different period is, however, a second analysis.

Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, which are the sellers. The price you are charged is the one the platform shows at the time of purchase, taxes included: it depends on your country and its VAT rate, and it is that price which governs, not any figure stated elsewhere. Billing, payment methods and refunds are handled by those platforms under their own terms.

6. Right of withdrawal

For digital content supplied immediately, the fourteen day right of withdrawal under French consumer law lapses as soon as performance begins, with your express agreement and your prior waiver. Refund requests are made to Apple or Google, depending on where you bought.

7. Availability

The service is provided as is. Interruptions may happen for maintenance, technical incident or unavailability of a third party provider, in particular the provider of the artificial intelligence model.

8. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

9. Intellectual property

You keep all rights over the conversations you import. RevealChat keeps the rights over the app, its texts, its analysis method and its trademark.

10. Complaints and mediation

A complaint about a payment (billing, double charge, refund) is settled with Apple or Google: they sell you the pack, they take the money, and their own dispute resolution schemes apply.

A complaint about the service itself goes to the publisher, at contact@revealchat.fr. Any consumer may then refer the matter free of charge to a French consumer mediator, after a written complaint has gone without a satisfactory answer for two months.

As the publisher currently sells no product directly, no mediator has been appointed. Should a sale ever be concluded outside an app store, the details of the appointed mediator will appear here before the first transaction, as article L. 616-1 of the French consumer code requires.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts are those of the publisher’s registered office, subject to the protective rules that apply to consumers.

12. Changes

These terms may change. The update date appears at the top of this page, and any substantial change is signalled inside the app.

14. Language of these terms

This is a translation, provided so that English speaking users can read the terms in their own language. The French version prevails. Should this translation and the French version differ on any point, the French wording is the one that applies, and it is the one a French court would read.
